Plastic for Parking Meters

The Philadelphia Parking authority is getting ready to install parking meters that will accept smart cards to be issued by the city. Cardline reported that Linda Miller, director of operations for the authority as explaining, "We want to offer motorists several options for them to pay for their parking." Of course, selling a smart card to pay for parking before parking provides a more desirable cash flow than having employees go from meter to meter to collect the coins after the service has been provided.
