Amtrak Card

Amtrak has issued the Amtrak Guest Rewards card: its first frequent-rider rewards program. CardTrak reports that the card permits travelers to earn two points for each mile of Amtrak travel. Cardholders may redeem the points for free travel on Amtrak trains or flights on United, Continental, and Midwest Express, as well as Hilton, Westin, Sheraton, Four Points and other hotels. In addition, points may be used for purchases at partner restaurants and retailers. An extra 500 points will be rewarded for Metroliner and Acela Express services between Washington, New York and Boston. You can obtain your Amtrak Guest Rewards and ID number and also earn 500 points by purchasing tickets online at www.amtrak.com. Or, you can enroll at any Amtrak ticket outlet or through your travel agent.
